Chapter 429 - 428: I Believe in Damian
The three of them were having dinner, and Ethan, knowing that Bella wasn’t in a good mood, tried to cheer her up sensibly.
Bella also didn’t want to worry him and Aunt Sienna, so she played along with him for a while. When he got tired, she took him to wash up.
Aunt Sienna first took Ethan back to his room to sleep, and then came out again. After a moment of hesitation, still feeling worried, she couldn’t help but ask, "Bella, what did you talk about on the phone this afternoon? What was Mr. Sinclair’s attitude?"
"Damian told me not to worry, that he would handle those matters." Bella lied, "Aunt Sienna, it’s fine. I trust Damian. You don’t need to worry either."
"Did Mr. Sinclair really say that?"
"Really, would I lie to you?" Bella smiled, "Aunt Sienna, it’s getting late, you should go to bed early. Ethan doesn’t sleep well without you by his side."
"Alright, then you should rest early too."
"Mhmm, goodnight." Bella gently hugged Aunt Sienna before heading up to the attic.
Aunt Sienna stood below, looking up at the attic, and sighed silently. She had watched Bella grow up; how could she not tell if Bella was sad or upset?
Bella went to the small room in the attic and collapsed onto the bed in exhaustion.
She took out her phone to check, and there were no messages, nor any missed calls.
When will Damian figure things out? His decision had essentially already set her aside, hadn’t it?
Originally, she thought that after reconciling this time, the two of them would have learned to cherish each other and could live happily ever after. She never expected the Sinclair Family’s opposition.
Would Damian completely give up on her because of his family?
Bella clutched her phone, tears slipping down from the corners of her eyes.
She didn’t want to lose Damian, but if Damian decided to let her go first, what should she do?
This time, it wasn’t a misunderstanding that could be clarified by explanations. If...
Bella turned over and buried her face in the blanket, not daring to think any further.
For the next two days, until Bella’s holiday ended and she went to attend a training course, Damian Sinclair still didn’t call. Besides waiting, there was nothing Bella could do.
Early in the morning, Judy Zimmerman came to pick her up from the orphanage and noticed her low spirits but didn’t ask much.
The car was silent for a while, and Bella took out her phone, opened the contacts, found the number marked as "Husband," deleted the word "Husband," and changed it to Damian Sinclair.
Looking at those three words, her fingertips trembled slightly, but eventually, she deleted them and changed it back to "Husband."
Bella put away her phone, thinking, let’s wait a little longer. Maybe Damian just hasn’t figured things out yet, and it’s not... it’s not that he’s already given up on her.
Bella, deceiving herself, put away her phone, patted her cheeks, and forced herself to perk up.
The car didn’t go to the studio but drove directly to the training center.
After Judy Zimmerman parked the car, she finally spoke, "Bella, this is your schedule for the morning. From eight to ten in the morning is shaping training, from ten to twelve you have to try shooting a magazine cover. From two to five in the afternoon, you’ll be learning vocal techniques and talents. From five to six, you’ll work out for an hour, and from six to seven is free time. After seven, Ms. Young will take you to a party."
The schedule was packed tightly.
That was good too, being extremely busy meant she had no time to think about other things.
Bella nodded and asked, "Did Ms. Young say what the party is about?"
"I think it’s a dinner with a film director and producer. Apparently, they have a new movie that’s casting."
