Damian hugged her tightly, feeling a deep sense of regret and guilt, but he knew that saying more words would be pointless; what mattered was his actions in the future.

Moreover, he had already realized that compared to losing her, everything else seemed insignificant.

"Yes, I’ve noticed your changes. So I’ve already forgiven you a little bit. Keep it up for the rest." Bella Acker nodded with a smile.

"Which aspect?" Damian asked with a smile.

"Not telling you." Bella Acker hummed proudly and said, "Stop talking, go to sleep."

"Will you sleep with me?" Damian looked at her.

"Yes." Bella Acker nodded.

A hint of a smile flashed in Damian’s eyes, and he released her, took off his jacket, and lay down on the bed.

Bella Acker also took off her jacket and climbed up, and Damian pulled her into his arms, holding her contentedly as he closed his eyes.

Nothing compared to the fullness and satisfaction of having her.

Bella Acker found a comfortable position in his arms and closed her eyes.

She wasn’t sleepy at all initially; she just wanted to lie down with Damian for a while, but somehow she fell asleep.

When she woke up again and checked the time on her phone, she found it was already past four in the afternoon.

Bella Acker lifted her head to take a look and saw that Damian was still sleeping soundly.

Although his expression was relaxed, she could still see the fatigue and the dark circles under his eyes.

She wondered how she could have been so careless not to notice before.

Bella Acker berated herself as a fool and then quietly got out of bed.

Her bed was a hard wooden bed, not a Simone. So when she moved lightly, it made no noise at all.

Bella Acker got out of bed, put on her jacket, and seeing Damian still asleep, she took the water cup placed by the bed and went downstairs from the loft.

Aunt Sienna and Ethan had already gotten up, and they were in the yard at this time.

Ethan was sitting on a small stool nearby, holding a notebook and drawing, while Aunt Sienna was handling some green vegetables she bought, planning to sun-dry some pickles while the sun was still good.

"Aunt Sienna." Bella Acker walked over and pinched Ethan’s cheek.

"Awake now." Aunt Sienna put down the greens in her hand and glanced at the house, noticing that Damian hadn’t come, she instinctively lowered her voice, "Is Damian still asleep?"

"Yes." Bella Acker nodded, "He’s been busy with work recently, and it seems like he’s only slept for three hours over the past two days. I want him to sleep more, so I didn’t wake him up."

"Damian is busy with work, and it’s rare for him to find a break, so let him sleep." Aunt Sienna smiled and asked, "Are you leaving tonight?"

"No, I’m staying to accompany you and Ethan." Bella Acker went over and picked up a knife to help cut vegetables, "But I need to go out tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow I’ll be attending a banquet with Damian, and probably won’t be back that night. I have a five-day holiday this time, so I can come back to stay for a night the day after tomorrow."

"Alright." Aunt Sienna said, "You shouldn’t overwork yourself when you’re out there, take good care of your health. If you mess up your health, you can’t buy it back with money."

"I know." Bella Acker said, "Aunt Sienna, I’ll take you to the hospital for a check-up when I return the day after tomorrow."

"I know my own body; it’s just old ailments, no need for check-ups." Aunt Sienna shook her head and insisted, "Just take good care of yourself, don’t worry about me."

"You’re my only relative elder, who else can I worry about if not you?" Bella Acker said, "That’s settled, we’ll go to the hospital in the morning the day after tomorrow."
