Chapter 339 - 338: Treated Like a Future Son-in-Law

"Aunt Sienna, we’re ready to go." Bella wiped her hands clean and said.

Aunt Sienna nodded, "How is Mr. Sinclair? Has the fever subsided?"

"It’s starting to go down, but the medicine is still working. He should feel really dizzy and sleepy right now. I’ll let him sleep a bit longer; once he wakes up, he’ll come down to take care of Ethan and the others."

"Let Mr. Sinclair take care of Ethan and the others? Isn’t that too much trouble for him?" Aunt Sienna felt a bit guilty.

"Both of us leaving would make it hard to rest easy with just Ethan and the others at home, so let him help take care of them. It’s fine."

Aunt Sienna wasn’t as familiar with Damian Sinclair as Bella was, and she felt embarrassed about imposing on someone relatively unfamiliar.

But since it was Bella’s first time visiting the cemetery to see her parents, Aunt Sienna insisted on personally taking her there.

After thinking it over, Aunt Sienna finally nodded, "Alright, let’s make it quick and not trouble Mr. Sinclair too much."

"Aunt Sienna, just think of Damian as a future son-in-law; there’s no need to be so polite with him."

"Don’t be shameless. You’re not even there yet; how can you consider him a future son-in-law?" Aunt Sienna scolded Bella with a glance, "A young lady should be a bit more reserved."

Bella stuck out her tongue, "Okay, okay, Aunt Sienna, I know I was wrong. I’m just saying this to make you feel comfortable."

"You." Aunt Sienna smiled and tapped her on the forehead, "He made you so upset this time; you can’t forgive him that easily. Men are like that; the easier it is to get something, the less they cherish it. We women must not always let ourselves suffer the loss, you understand?"

"Yes, yes, Aunt Sienna is right. I’ll listen to Aunt Sienna." Bella hooked her arm, smiling brightly, "Let’s go."

"Always trying to make me happy." Aunt Sienna said with a smile and left the yard together with her.

The two of them reached the main road and directly took a taxi to The West End Cemetery.

There were still a few months left before the Qingming Festival, so there weren’t many people visiting the cemetery at this time.

When they arrived at The West End Cemetery, they first registered at the administrator’s office before entering the cemetery.

Perhaps because of the surrounding tombstones, even with the bright sun, walking here felt chilly around them.

Aunt Sienna’s legs and feet weren’t very fit for walking; flat ground was fine, but climbing stairs was quite challenging.

"Aunt Sienna, take it slow." Bella supported her arm and helped her up the stairs.

"Ah, getting old really renders you useless." Aunt Sienna sighed, looking up at the stairs ahead, "We’re almost there; let’s keep going."

"Don’t say that. You’re not old at all." Bella felt a pang seeing Aunt Sienna’s head full of white hair, but she still smiled to comfort her, "You’re still youthful. When I get married and have children, you’ll still have to help me with the baby then."

"Hehe, silly girl." Aunt Sienna laughed, took a breath, and pointed upwards, "The third row, thirteenth from the front is your parents’ headstone. You go ahead; I’ll sit here for a bit."

Bella saw that she indeed couldn’t walk further and looked up before decisively taking off her scarf to lay it on the step, "Aunt Sienna, sit here instead of directly on the stairs; it’s chilly."

"Oh dear, putting the scarf on the ground will dirty it, I’m fine." Aunt Sienna said as she reached to pick up the scarf.

"If you don’t rest here, then I’ll wait with you until you’re ready to go up together."
