Chapter 452 - 451: If You Fail the Exam, Get Ready to Be Benched

Bella Acker was both surprised and delighted to hear the news, "Really? Great, I’ll return to the studio after my training."

After hanging up, Bella still couldn’t quite believe it.

She had gotten drunk last night, and though she felt a bit more clear-headed after throwing up, she was still in a state of intoxication.

She actually had no confidence in her audition last night, but unexpectedly, she succeeded.

Next to her, Judy Zimmerman asked with a smile, "What did Ms. Young say that made you so happy?"

"Piggy, I got a role in Director Simons’ new movie," Bella replied happily. "I can shoot a film now."

"Really? That’s wonderful," Judy responded sincerely. "Congratulations, Bella." As the artists she assisted rose in the industry, her status as an assistant would naturally follow.

Judy felt especially grateful now for accepting the arrangement to be a new assistant back then.

"Yes, yes." Bella nodded, "Director Simons is such a renowned director, it’s fantastic to be able to act in his film. No, before joining the crew, I have to spend one or two hours each day honing my acting skills. I can’t disappoint Director Simons."

Judy smiled, "I was just about to tell you this. Didn’t you say before that you wanted to apply to the drama school? The studio has already signed you up. You need to study well during this period because, apart from the art exam, there’s a cultural course score required. Since you don’t have the exam scores for cultural courses, you’ll need to retake them."

Bella hadn’t studied in a long time, and thinking of picking up middle and high school textbooks to study for the exams, she knew it would be tough even by imagining it. Moreover, the drama school exams were less than two months away.

Yet she wasn’t willing to give up just like that.

Bella nodded, "I understand. Piggy, after I sign the contract at the studio, accompany me to buy middle and high school textbooks and study materials."

"You don’t have to worry about that; Ms. Young has arranged everything for you. Not only are the books and materials ready, but Ms. Young has also contacted a tutor for extra classes, the tutor can follow the film crew."

"Ms. Young is so considerate and amazing," Bella sincerely appreciated. At this time, if she were to read by herself, she surely wouldn’t understand much, having a tutor by her side was reassuring.

Judy laughed, "But Ms. Young also has a warning."

Thinking of Cynthia Young’s personality and work style, Bella felt an inexplicable shiver down her back, "What warning?"

"If you fail, just wait to be benched," Judy accurately quoted and then laughed, "And Ms. Young’s tone was even more cutting."

"Really fits Ms. Young’s personality!" Bella shivered.

The two chatted all the way to the training class; Rhonda didn’t come today, so Bella continued to learn the proper posture with books balanced on her head, progressing from yesterday’s one book to two books today.

After studying for two hours, Bella’s posture and demeanor were much more correct than the previous day, and the teacher encouraged her with praise before letting her go from class.

After the training, Bella rushed back to the studio to sign the film contract, then went to shoot two sets of profile photos and an ad for a not-so-famous snack brand, followed by more training sessions.

These tightly-packed schedules left her with no time to think about anything else. By the time she finally found a chance to rest, she was so exhausted that she just wanted to find a place to lean against and sleep, yet she still couldn’t rest.

Because she still needed to meet the tutor and learn middle and high school cultural knowledge.
