Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife

Chapter 387 - 386: Reunion

Chapter 387 - 386: Reunion

Bella Acker tilted her head in confusion and saw a woman dressed in a beige coat, wearing delicate makeup, stepping out from the booth with a soft smile, "Hello, do you remember me?"

How could she not! She was the middle-aged woman who looked very much like her mother, Laura Locke.

She thought they would never meet again, but unexpectedly, they bumped into each other here.

Bella Acker nodded, "Of course I remember, are you alone?"

"And Bonnie," the middle-aged woman smiled, "Are you alone?"

"Yeah, my friend just left for something." Inside the booth, Bonnie sneaked a peek at the person, and Bella Acker waved to him with a smile.

Bonnie didn’t know whether he was scared or shy, and quickly withdrew.

The middle-aged woman said, "Since you’re alone too, why not join us? I wanted to apologize to you that day."

"It’s nothing." Bella Acker shook her head.

The middle-aged woman said, "Then shall we sit together?"

Bella Acker also had things she wanted to ask her, so she nodded in agreement, "Sure, then I’ll help myself."

"Please."

The two of them entered the booth, and a café waitress came over with a menu, softly asking, "What would you like to drink?"

"I’ll have a cappuccino, please. Thank you."

"Alright, please wait a moment."

After the waitress left, the middle-aged woman said, "Bonnie, do you remember this sister?"

Bonnie looked and shook his head; he didn’t remember.

The middle-aged woman said somewhat apologetically, "Bonnie is a bit slower at remembering things than other kids."

Bella Acker smiled, extending her hand gently, "Bonnie, hello, I’m Sister Bella."

"Sister Bella?" Bonnie looked at her a bit timidly.

Bella Acker had taken care of many kids at the orphanage, and those kids were even younger than Bonnie. She always knew how to make them happy, and doing so with Bonnie was no exception.

"That’s right. Look at this." Bella Acker took an Ultraman out of her pocket and handed it over, "Do you like it, Bonnie?"

Bonnie looked at the Ultraman, nodding quickly.

"It’s for you," Bella Acker said, "from now on, we are friends, alright?"

"Friends?" Bonnie seemed to ponder over what being friends meant, then happily nodded, "Yeah, friends. Bonnie, Sister Bella, friends!"

Bonnie appeared older than Ethan, but his reactions and actions were like those of a one or two-year-old. Coupled with his slightly unfocused gaze, it was easy to guess that Bonnie had some intellectual challenges.

Bella Acker spoke to him with great patience, "Yes, from now on Bonnie can play with Sister Bella, okay?"

"Play." Bonnie nodded firmly, looking at the Ultraman in his hand. He seemed to really like the toy, but after a moment of hesitation, he handed it to Bella Acker, saying, "For Sister Bella to play."

"Thank you, Bonnie." Bella Acker didn’t refuse, took the Ultraman, and pressed a switch on its hand, causing its arms to light up.

"Wow." Bonnie’s eyes widened in amazement.

"For you to play with," Bella Acker smiled and handed the Ultraman back to him, also teaching him, "See, press here, and it lights up. Press it again, and it turns off. Try it."

"Okay." Bonnie was both nervous and excited as he pressed the switch. The Ultraman’s arms stopped glowing, and pressing it again made them light up. He kept trying, extremely happy.

The middle-aged woman’s eyes were a bit misty as she watched, and she controlled her emotions before saying, "Thank you, Bella."
