Chapter 385 - 384: Another Round of Public Displays of Affection

Bella Acker nodded, tried to walk a few steps, feeling a bit uncomfortable, but overall okay.

As she walked, she accidentally saw the price at the bottom of the shoe rack.

She thought she must have been mistaken, and counted the zeros carefully. It was indeed over sixty thousand!

How could a pair of shoes cost over sixty thousand? Why did she suddenly feel like the two hundred thousand she earned was fake money that couldn’t really do anything?

Bella Acker felt a bit of pain in her wallet, reluctant to spend over sixty thousand on a single pair of high heels.

"Bella..."

"What’s up?" Bea looked at her, "Is it uncomfortable to wear?"

They were comfortable and looked good, but they were just so expensive!

Bella Acker didn’t want to say outright that they were too expensive and just nodded, "Yeah, the soles and toes hurt a bit." She wasn’t exactly lying, it was normal to feel some pain wearing high heels for the first time.

Bea said, "That’s all normal. I think these shoes suit you, just wear them a few more times and you’ll be comfortable. Try these two more pairs."

Bella Acker sighed to herself, thinking Bea really wasn’t on the same wavelength as her right now. Maybe Sandra Woods would understand.

She had no choice but to try on two more pairs of high heels, and they all looked good and were comfortable, but the prices were shocking.

The two pink pairs were the same style, priced at over sixty thousand each, while the red ones were slightly cheaper at over thirty thousand, but still incredibly expensive!

"They look great." Bea nodded and said to the sales assistant, "Pack up all three pairs." She then dug out a credit card from her small purse and handed it over.

"Sure." The sales assistant saw the black credit card and immediately recognized it as having a credit limit of a million. She smiled, took the card, and politely asked, "Do you need anything else?"

"No, just pack them up." Bea waved her hand.

"Alright." The sales assistant nodded with a smile, preparing to go and process the payment with Bea’s credit card.

"Wait, use this card." Bella Acker quickly took out the gold card Damian had given her, bouncing slightly as she handed it to the sales assistant.

The sales assistant looked at Bea with some difficulty, as she could tell Bea was the real wealthy heiress and probably the elder.

"It doesn’t matter whose card you use." Bea said.

Bella Acker shook her head, "Damian gave this to us, said to use this card for today’s shopping."

"Alright then, only a fool wouldn’t take advantage of a rich man." Bea decisively said to the sales assistant: "Use the gold card."

"Okay." The sales assistant handed the black card back to Bea and said, "Could one of you come with me to enter the password?"

"I’ll go." Bella Acker had already put on the shoes and went to swipe the card with the sales assistant.

Bea followed behind her, watching her swipe the card and enter the password. Seeing her enter 121, Bea shuddered slightly, and whispered: "The password can’t be your two’s birthdays, can it?"

Bella Acker was surprised, "Bea, how did you know?"

Bea didn’t know Bella Acker’s birthday, but she knew her brother’s birthday. Seeing Bella Acker enter 121, the thought immediately came to her mind. Once confirmed, she was speechless.

She never thought her perpetually icy brother would do something like this.

Though it was a bit melodramatic, she suddenly thought of a saying.

He’s not really cold, he just warms someone else!

Wow, her brother was something! To think he would set the password to both of their birthdays, how romantic is that? But, why was she being subjected to this public display of affection just by accompanying Bella Acker on a shopping trip? Tables flipped!
