Chapter 320 - 316: Script [1]

"That thing is catching up!"

"Hurry! Faster!"

A series of terrified shouts echoed urgently through the night sky.

The night was like a giant black curtain, draped tightly over the land. Inside the amusement park, once filled with laughter and joy, a bone-chilling aura now lingered.

Several frantic figures were desperately sprinting out of it. They stumbled, yet dared not pause for even a moment, as if an Evil Ghost from Hell was hot on their heels.

Not far behind them, a tall figure was rapidly closing in.

The figure was wearing a gray teddy bear costume, but its mascot head had fallen off.

What was revealed was not a normal human head, but two small heads—one boy and one girl—that looked to be only six or seven years old.

The necks of these two heads seemed to be crudely stitched together with fine black threads.

This formed a stark contrast with the large, burly body, creating an indescribably bizarre and horrifying sight.

The little girl’s face was stained with tears, her mouth wide open as she let out wailing sobs.

In the silent, grim night, her cries sounded exceptionally mournful.

The little boy’s face, however, wore a nearly maniacal grin. His laughter was sharp and piercing, as if trying to drill straight into one’s heart and stir it into chaos.

"Hee hee, don’t go! Stay... stay and play with us!"

The two heads actually spoke at the same time. Their voices—the little girl’s sobs and the little boy’s giggles—intertwined, creating a hair-raising sound.

"Waaaah... why do you all have to leave? You’re all bad people! I’m going to turn you all into things just like us!"

As it spoke, the two-headed teddy bear monster raised a blood-soaked cleaver, over a meter long, high into the air.

With heavy, slightly stiff steps, it charged madly toward the people ahead.

Following behind it, one after another, were more grotesque figures.

There was a clown whose body was nearly split in two.

Its broken body swayed precariously as it moved, looking as if it might fall apart at any moment.

Yet it continued to move forward quickly, its face still fixed in an exaggerated, terrifying smile.

There was also a monster with a human upper body, but its lower half was a chaotic amalgamation of more than a dozen legs of various sizes.

The legs moved alternately in a bizarre rhythm, each step like the beat of a death drum on the ground, sending shivers down one’s spine.

These monsters all had different appearances.

But their one commonality was that their bodies were all pieced together from different human limbs, making them look bizarre and grotesque.

In a flash, the man running at the very back was finally caught by the two-headed doll monster.

In that instant, a sharp whoosh cut through the air, a piercing sound like the grim reaper swinging its scythe.

The man’s expression twisted instantly, the terror on his face freezing in place before it could even begin to fade.

Immediately after, he felt a sharp pain in his waist, and his vision began to spin uncontrollably.

As the world spun around him, the last thing he saw was the horrific image of his own lower body, spurting blood, continuing to run forward a few steps due to inertia before collapsing heavily to the ground.

This gory and horrifying scene instantly drained the color from the faces of the others fleeing ahead.

Their eyes filled with terror. At that moment, they wished their parents had given them two extra legs so they could escape this dreadful place faster.

Fortunately, perhaps heaven was watching over them.

Soon.

The gate that symbolized hope appeared before their eyes.

Seeing it, they charged straight for the gate without hesitation.

A few of them rushed so hard that inertia sent them tumbling to the ground, scraping their palms and knees on the harsh surface.

Patches of skin were scraped off, and traces of blood seeped out, but they were in no state to care about the pain.

Even after escaping the amusement park, they were still shaken. They immediately turned their heads to look back.

They saw that the terrifying monsters that had been relentlessly pursuing them were now standing just inside the park’s gate, roaring continuously.

Their roars were filled with unwillingness and rage, yet they seemed to fear something, only able to pace back and forth without taking a single step through the gate.

Seeing this, the survivors’ faces broke into joyous smiles. As if completely drained of strength, they collapsed onto the ground.

They began to laugh freely.

But as they laughed, something seemed to come to mind.

Some of them started to sob.

"A script task for sixteen people... and now only six of us are left!"

Off to the side, Wei Fan watched this scene, his brow tightly furrowed.

Just then, he seemed to think of something.

He looked gently to the side and spoke to the woman next to him.

"Zhou Qing, thank you so much for this time. How’s the wound on your back? Are you okay?"

As he spoke, his gaze subconsciously fell on her back, but due to the angle, he couldn’t see the extent of her injury.

"I’m fine. I saved you only because you’re more valuable alive."

The woman’s expression remained cold, her tone carrying a hint of detached indifference.

Seeing this, Wei Fan just smiled and said no more.

’After spending this time together, I understand her personality,’ he thought. ’She seems cold on the surface, but she’s actually a softie underneath.’

What he didn’t know was that she was telling the absolute truth.

This woman was none other than Ouyang Shuokong.

As a king who had once Commanded an era and lived for hundreds of long years,

in his eyes, the myriad states of the world and the complexities of human nature were as easy to read as the lines on his own palm.

After some prior investigation and gathering data on Wei Fan’s personality,

Ouyang Shuokong had used a few "accidental" coincidences to enter his field of vision.

’I never expected a Nightmare event of this terrible magnitude to occur!’

Ouyang Shuokong shifted his body slightly, and a sharp pain immediately shot through his back.

’But, restricted by that thing, it’s nearly impossible to relay information from here to the Lord. It seems I’ll have to resort to some special methods!’

At this thought,

he mobilized the Qi Blood Power in his body.

His face instantly turned deathly pale. He swayed and then collapsed to the ground with a dull THUD.

The sudden commotion immediately drew everyone’s attention, and all eyes turned toward the sound.

Seeing this, Wei Fan’s expression changed, and he rushed over in just a few quick strides.

He hurriedly knelt down.

As he checked on her, he discovered that the white gauze wrapped around her back was now completely soaked with blood.

The Crimson bloodstains,

stood out starkly against the white gauze.

"Huh? How could this happen?"

His expression changed drastically.
