Chapter 317: Magicless Sword +2, Triple Strength Output

Just like that, Celeste now had all the enhancement sub-talents she needed, each at a level that most players never got anywhere close to since these scrolls were so incredibly rare in the first place.

Also thanks to that new addition, her [Combat Power] rose to somewhere around 2 million, which was a massive increase from where she had been before.

"If I manage to improve my attributes and skills even further, and then also acquire a new [Ember]," Celeste mumbled quietly as she looked at Leon with obvious pride in her eyes, "Then I should be able to reach your [Combat Power] eventually!"

"That would be great," Leon nodded with a genuine smile on his face, "Though finding a new [Ember] for you is going to be the hard part of that plan."

"True..." Celeste agreed, her expression turning slightly more thoughtful as she considered the difficulty of what she had just proposed.

And finally, as for the two [Magicless Cores] sitting in his inventory right now, Leon decided that he would simply show one of them to the [Awakener Lord] as proof of completion and hide the other one away for himself.

The special test’s description had clearly stated that he would be able to keep the core he found, so he would technically have two of them once he was done with the quest anyway, making this the perfect outcome.

But right as Leon was about to leave this place with Celeste and head back to civilization, one last panel appeared before him that made him pause for a moment.

"Oh," Leon said quietly, having almost forgotten about the heart entirely given everything else that had happened over the past four days.

It had taken much longer than any other time before to recharge this time around.

Since the heart had gained a new ability and even its base effects were much stronger than before, Leon had to assume that the amount of monsters he had to kill to recharge it was now significantly larger than before.

But since Leon was consistently defeating monsters that were ten levels above his own current level, he believed that the heart should still recharge fairly quickly if he continued fighting at this pace.

"Perhaps it is all about timing," Leon grinned to himself as he prepared to activate the heart’s power once again.

He immediately closed his eyes and allowed the heartbeat of his natural heart and the blood heart to align perfectly, focusing his concentration entirely on the synchronization process.

A faint crimson glow began to spread from within his chest, slowly traveling through his arm and into the new sword he was currently holding in his hand.

"Copy the [Power Sword]’s blessing into the new one," Leon said without any hesitation, knowing exactly what he wanted to do.

[You can only apply a previous blessing once, are you sure?]

"Yes," Leon confirmed firmly, his voice steady and certain.

He knew that he had already used his spirit multiplier blessing on his new staff, and now he was using his physical attack one on his new sword, but it did not matter to him in the slightest.

Since the blessings of the heart were likely only going to get stronger and more powerful as time went on and as the heart evolved further, he was completely confident in using them now rather than hoarding them for some hypothetical future situation.

The sword reacted immediately to the infusion of power, its silver blade and dark handle both glowing with a deep crimson color as it began to physically change thanks to the heart’s influence, a small crimson gem appearing in the center of the blade as if it had always been there.

"Amazing," Leon whispered to himself as he watched the transformation complete itself.

Leon immediately opened his panel to check his sword’s new blessing and see exactly what the heart had given him this time around.

[Blood Heart Blessing: Every attack with this sword holds triple the "Strength" of a usual one.]

"I knew it," Leon smiled widely, his eyes lighting up with satisfaction, "It was strengthened once again just like I expected."

The power sword’s original blessing had released double the strength on every attack, but this new one did triple instead, meaning that Leon’s physical damage output had grown even more dramatically than before.

With this new blessing active, even level ninety monsters would likely be unable to resist a single one of his slashes, since his attacks were simply too strong for them to handle now.

Including everything in his strength attribute calculation, Leon could basically hit for well over one million in raw strength alone.

And that was not even including the fact that his attributes were boosted even more since each individual attribute point counted as three points of [Combat Power].

Though of course, Leon still did not believe that he would be able to take on monsters at level one hundred quite yet, as those creatures were simply too strong for anyone at his current level to handle easily.

But it was becoming increasingly clear that he was getting closer and closer to that milestone, even though he was only at level eighty right now.

"Alright," Leon turned toward Celeste with a determined expression on his face, "Let’s get out of here finally."

"B-But how," Celeste pointed nervously at the hall leading back outside, "We need to get out and the traps are apparently even stronger now that the guardian is dead, seems like they were designed to stop anyone from leaving after the boss was defeated."

"Well," Leon said with a confident smirk, already knowing exactly how he was going to handle this problem.

Leon immediately tried to summon his [World Map], as it was the easiest and safest way out of this place without having to deal with any traps at all, but unfortunately for him, something blocked his attempt.

"...I guess its impossible to teleport from in here," Leon sighed heavily, "So be it then."
